Villa Kostelec

Location: North Bohemia

"The concept of the implementation solution was the inconspicuousness of the area in distant views and also the layout and, above all, operational simplicity. The house is designed as a single-storey structure, a distinctly horizontal mass divided by sunken covered terraces that rhythmically divide the silhouette of the building. The mass of the house is defined by two concrete slabs – the floor and the ceiling, between which the five basic masses of the building alternate, which define the five terraces. Special attention was also paid to the roof, so that it offers a pleasant view when arriving by helicopter."
